The Wild Card Personas In Persona 4 The Animation

In the Persona series, the Wild Card is the ability to form a contract allowing one to access and summon multiple Personas and switch between them in battle and the ability to change bonds into strength. The term is also associated with the capabilities of Fusion Spells, where multiple Personas are summoned at the same time in order to execute a powerful attack.

Izanagi
Izanagi is the Yu Narukami's initial Persona. When he first encounters the Shadows, Izanagi's voice prompts him to awaken to the power within. Yu then mutters the word Persona and summons forth Izanagi.

Pyro Jack
Pyro Jack represents the bond between Yu and Yosuke. He was the first Persona that Yu summoned due to his newly obtained Wild Card ability. Early on, his abilities have assisted Yu in taking down both Shadow Chie and Shadow Yukiko with his Fire-based spells and Absorb Fire ability and he was briefly used during the Shadow Mitsuo battle.

Ara Mitama
Ara Mitama in Persona 4 The Animation represents the bond shared between Yu and Chie. It was first summoned during the battle against Shadow Yukiko, and later against Shadow Mitsuo to protect Yu and his friends from their attacks.

Rakshasa
Rakshasa first appears in the fight against Shadow Kanji and his cronies, Tough Guy and Nice Guy. He was used to switch with a suffocating Izanagi by the hugs of Tough Guy or Nice Guy. Rakshasa also makes a brief reappearance in the fight against Shadow Mitsuo. He was used to break down blocks used to attack Yu and his friends. Rakshasa represents the bond between Yu, Kou Ichijo and Daisuke Nagase. In the True Ending special, Rakshasa appears to defend Yu from Margaret's Yoshitsune and bring a message of support from Kou and Daisuke.

Yamata no Orochi
Yamata-no-Orochi represents the bond between Yu and his classmate Ai Ebihara. After completing his Social Link with Ai, Yu fused the necessary Personas to summon Orochi, using its power in the battles against Shadow Kanji and Shadow Mitsuo. In the True Ending special, Yamata-no-Orochi was summoned to defend Yu against Yoshitsune's attack, as well as bring a message of support for Yu from Ai.

Makami
Makami first appeared in Episode 12 as the first new Personas used to counter Shadow Mitsuo. He was used to block the Garula attack that was supposed to be used to hit Izanagi and retaliated with an Agilao. In addition, Makami is the Persona representing Yu's bond with Naoki Konishi. In the True Ending special, Makami appears to defend Yu from Margaret's Loki, attacking with Agilao, and bringing a message of support for Yu from Naoki.

King Frost
King Frost first appeared in Episode 12. Yu Narukami summoned him as one of his attempts to attack Shadow Mitsuo. King Frost was used to shoot a blast of Bufula at Shadow Mitsuo. However, this attack was blocked, and Yu was forced to use another Persona. King Frost is also the Persona that represents the bond between Yu and Kanji.

High Pixie
High Pixie first appears in Episode 12 where she was used to cast an Electricity spell on Shadow Mitsuo. However, this failed and Shadow Mitsuo retaliated with an Agilao. High Pixie also represents the bond between Yu and Yukiko Amagi.

Leanan Sidhe
Leanan Sidhe was used by Yu in Episode 12. She was used to cast a spell through Shadow Mitsuo's Ear by a whisper to bewilder and enrage Shadow Mitsuo. She is also the Persona that represents the bond between Yu and Rise.

Genbu
In Persona 4 The Animation, Genbu is the Persona that represents the bond between Yu and Eri Minami. In the True Ending Special, Genbu appears to defend Yu from Margaret's Loki and its attacks, as well as bring a message of support for Yu from Eri.

Arahabaki
Arahabaki is the Persona representing the bond between Yu Narukami and the Fox. He was first summoned by Yu in an attempt to slow down and damage Shadow Naoto, attacking with what was possibly Torrent Shot. Arahabaki also made a brief appearance in the fight against Kunino-sagiri. While Yu was being controlled, he used Arahabaki to block Kanji's rushing Take-Mikazuchi in his attempt to help. In the True Ending special, Arahabaki appeared to attack Margaret's Cu Chulainn using Vicious Strike and brought a message of support from the Fox.

Abaddon
Abaddon was first used against Shadow Naoto in an attempt to slow down and damage her. Abaddon shot Arrow Rain at her in this attempt but failed and missed every strike. Abbadon is the Persona that represents Yu and Shu Nakajima's bond. In the True Ending special, Abaddon appears to attack Margaret's Loki using Arrow Rain, as well as bring a message of thanks from Shu to Yu.

Mot
Mot was used against Shadow Naoto to block an incoming Ziodyne and in an attempt to defeat her. Mot used Mudoon by Rise's suggestion, thinking Shadow Naoto has slowed down somehow and has a higher chance of instantly being defeated. The attack failed and Shadow Naoto shot Yu with Galgalim Eyes, causing him to age. Mot represents the bond between Yu and Hisano Kuroda. In the True Ending special, Mot appears to attack Margaret's Loki using Mudoon, as well as bring a message of support to Yu from Hisano.

Beelzebub
In Persona 4 the Animation, Yu does his second on-screen fusion to make Beelzebub of the Devil Arcana, requiring six Arcana cards. He was able to finish off Shadow Naoto with Megidolaon and completely destroy the battlefield. Yu also summons Beelzebub while under the possession of Kunino-sagiri during their battle in Heaven. Beelzebub was about to use Megidolaon against the Investigation Team, but Yu was able to gain control over his body and call off the attack. In the True Ending special, Beelzebub appeared once more to attack Margaret's Loki and bring a message of support to Yu from Sayoko, as he began to regain confidence. Beelzebub also represents the bond between Yu and Sayoko Uehara.

Saturnus
Saturnus is the Persona representing the bond between Yu and Teddie. He was first summoned during the battle against Kunino-sagiri to protect Yu from fire attacks. However, Kunino-sagiri was able to possess Yu while still using Saturnus, who unleashed a barrage of Agidyne attacks on the team. Luckily, his attacks were blocked by Konohana Sakuya.

Atropos
Atropos is the Persona that represents the bond between Yu and Naoto. It was used briefly in the Heaven dungeon during the battle against Kunino-sagiri, although Yu was possessed when it was first summoned. She unleashed a powerful Magarudyne that injured everyone, sans Yosuke and Jiraiya.

Tam Lin
In Persona 4 The Animation, Tam Lin represents the bond between Yu and Ayane Matsunaga. He was summoned during the battle against Kunino-sagiri in Heaven to rescue Nanako, although Yu was under the possession of Kunino-sagiri. He unleashed a powerful Ziodyne attack that dealt serious damage to Jiraiya and Yosuke.

Kohryu
Yu first summons this Persona via fusion, after hearing Ryotaro Dojima's call to him to not give in while saving Nanako during the battle against Kunino-sagiri. Kohryu successfully shielded Yu and Nanako from his friends attacks and helped free them while they were manipulated under Kumino-sagiri's control. He is also the Persona representing the bond between Yu and Dojima. In the True Ending special, Kohryu appears to aid Yu against Margaret's Helel, and brings a message of support from Ryotaro.

Sraosha
Sraosha represents the bond between Yu and his cousin, Nanako Dojima. He was first summoned during the battle against Kunino-sagiri, where he used Mahamaon in order to finish off all of the remaining enemies. Later on, in the True Ending special, Sraosha appeared to defend against Margaret's Helel when Yu had given up fighting, along with a message from Nanako to support Yu. He is one of the two ultimate Personas that Yu summoned that was not created through fusion, the other being Isis.

Isis
Isis represents the bond between Yu and Margaret. She was summoned after Izanagi took serious damage from Ameno-sagiri's attacks, with Yu being stuck under huge rocks. Her levitation abilities assisted Yu in getting back up once again. She is one of the two ultimate Personas that Yu summoned that was not created through fusion, the other being Sraosha.

Lucifer
Lucifer was summoned in the Seekers of the Truth's battle against Ameno-sagiri in the last episode. Lucifer was able to take on Ameno-sagiri's attacks and successfully destroy him after Yu's friends used their newly obtained ultimate Personas to weaken Ameno-sagiri previously.

Izanagi no Okami
During the True Ending's final sequences, in the final confrontation with Izanami-no-Okami, Yu gathers the strength of the heart accumulated by his Social Links and forms The World Arcana, transforming Izanagi into Izanagi-no-Okami. The Persona easily dispatched Izanami-no-Okami with his Myriad Truths skill.
