Poseidon & Marinas General Scales In Saint Seiya
Scales are the armor worn by Poseidon’s mariners. The Scales were created in anticipation of the war to come. It is unclear if Poseidon himself crafted the armors. The Scales contain Orichalcum, a metal known in Antiquity as mountain copper. In the Saint Seiya universe, it is considered the strongest metal on earth.
Poseidon ScaleThe Sea God possesses his own Scale, the Poseidon Scale. The Scale is a golden orange, a likely indicator of the presence of Orichalcum. Its design is rather sober, more martial than ceremonial, with coverage similar to that of a Sea General Scale. Its resistance though was far superior, and it took the arrow of the Sagittarius Gold Cloth imbued with the cosmos of four Bronze Saints to pierce its headpiece.
Sea Dragon ScaleThe Sea Dragon Scale is one of the Scales of Poseidon's Marina Generals. It was worn by Kanon, who used it when he impersonated a Marina General in order to control Poseidon.
Siren ScaleThe Siren Scale is one Scales of Poseidon. This Scale is based on the mythical sirens, female creatures that were infamous for luring unwary sailors with irresistible songs and poetic verses.
Kraken ScaleThe Kraken Scale is the Scale of the Marine General Isaac, Guardian of the Arctic Ocean Pillar, in Saint Seiya. This Scale never shows any particular special ability beyond that of the other Marine General Scales.
Chrysaor ScaleThe Chrysaor Scale is the Scale of the Marine General Krishna, Guardian of the Indian Ocean Pillar, in Saint Seiya. It has a powerful weapon in the form of the Golden Lance, said to be wielded by the son of Poseidon the Scale is named for.
Lyumnades ScaleThe Lyumnades Scale is the Scale of the Marine General Kasa, Guardian of the Antarctic Ocean Pillar, in Saint Seiya. This Scale never shows any particular special ability beyond that of the other Marine General Scales.
Scylla ScaleThe Scylla Scale is the Scale of the Marine General Io, Guardian of the South Pacific Pillar, in Saint Seiya. This Scale stays true to it's namesake, as there are six weapons attached to the Scale, each allowing for a special attack to be used. Each is symbolic for the particular animal the head was: The Eagle, the Wolf, the Queen Bee, the Serpent, The Vampire Bat, and the Grizzly Bear.
