Surplices are the armors worn by the 108 Specters, the army of the god Hades. They are equivalent to Athena's Cloths, Pallas Chronotectors, Odin's God Robes, Eris Leaf, and Poseidon's Scales. According to the legend, Surplices are made from minerals from the Underworld, and they represent monsters from various mythologies and literary works. Here is the list of Heavenly Surplices:
Garuda SurpliceThe Garuda Surplice is one of Surplices which is belongs to one of the Three Judges of the Underworld. It is based on Garuda who is a deity in Hindu mythology. It has the beak and wings of an eagle and the body of a man, and is considered the king of birds. It's a bird that burns like embers of fire, similar to the phoenix.
Griffon SurpliceThe Griffon Surplice is one of Surplices which is belongs to one of the Three Judges of the Underworld. Griffons are creatures whose head and front body is that of an eagle, and whose hindquarters are of a lion. It was a symbol of nobility and its image appears on many coats of arms of noble families.
