Primordial gods In Saint Seiya Episode G
This is a group of several ancient gods initially posing as the Titans' allies. However, it was later revealed that their purpose is to have Gaia absorb the Titans' Dunamis in order to awaken and regain control of the Earth herself, destroying everything in the process, both humans and gods.
GaiaGaia is the Earth Goddess. She is the mother of the Titans, the Cyclops, the Hechatonchires, Uranus and Pontos and the creator of the Somas. She is the Mistress of Pontos and the reason he revived the Titans and initiated a new Titanomachy. Trapped in a dormant state under a fountain of turbulent waters in Tartarus, she absorbs the power of the Titans every time one of them is killed, each bringing her closer to awakening.
PrometheusPrometheus is the black-winged son of Iapetos and Themis. A friend of humans, he once shared fire with mankind, a dangerous gift that Zeus believed could lead to insurgency against the gods. As a result, Zeus left Prometheus chained at the top of the Caucasus mountain and condemned him to eternal suffering as an eagle repeatedly ate his regenerating liver.
UranusUranus is the personification of the Sky, the son and husband of Gaia, and the father of the Titans, the Cyclopses and the Hekatonkheires. He is defined as a tyrant, someone who did not love anyone but his own self, and could not recognize any other god besides himself. With great cruelty and injustice he punished those who opposed him, even those who shared blood ties with him, such as his own children. Interestingly, his youngest son and successor, Chronos, would inherit several aspects of his personality.
Pontos Pontos is one of the primary antagonists of Saint Seiya Episode G. He is depicted here as a Primordial God, a deity of the seas, and the father of Eurybia. Apparently working for Gaia, Pontos revives the twelve Titans and manipulates them into doing his will, with aid from Mnemosyne and Prometheus. He is the master of the flow and so most of the time he does not intervene directly, but rather watches events unfold with the help of his cauldron and subtly directs events to fulfill his goals.
