Athena's Gold Saints In Saint Seiya

Gold Saint are the 12 most powerful saints in Athena's army, invincible among them since the mythological ages. They wear the 12 Gold Cloths that correspond to the zodiac constellations, the most powerful among the 88 Cloths. Move at the speed of light and completely dominate the seventh sense, while a few of them are so powerful to have reached the eighth sense, arayashiki. Not only the power of the Gold Saints is superior to all other saints, but also their notions of honesty, ethics and righteousness and are therefore very respected by the people of the Sanctuary. When the twelve gold cloths are or are near one another, they shine and produce very loud sounds. This phenomenon is called resonance.

• Athena Exclamation: It is a legendary technique where 3 of Gold Saints combine their cosmos and fire it at once. This power is so gigantic that it releases an energy similar to the explosion that gave birth to the universe, the Big Bang.
• Sacrifice of the Gold Saints: The twelve gold saints raise their cosmos and release an energy from the Gold Cloths which is as strong and bright as the sun. All who come in contact with this energy, including the saints themselves with gold cloths, die.

Aries Mu

The Aries Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the White Ram. Disciple and successor of Aries Shion, and mentor to Kiki. A calm young man whose serene exterior conceals prodigious strength, Mu is also a man of many talents, to the extent of being regarded as the most gifted Gold Saint in psychokinesis, as well as a master in the arts of Cloth restoration. Mu left the Sanctuary shortly after Shion's murder as he harbored suspicion about the legitimacy of the Pope, settling in the remote Jamir region.

• Crystal Wall: Mu creates a transparent, glass-like barrier made of psycho-power, between himself and an object. The strength of the wall is dependent on Mu's cosmos level, at 100%, it is nearly unbreakable to almost all.
• Crystal Net: A variation of the technique Crystal Wall which creates a psycho-power made spider web. This web can refrain the movements of the targets that get in contact with it.
• Stardust Revolution: The attack summons stardust from stars and galaxies then throws million of blows instantly. It's well known that the attack has force of shooting stars and comets and obliterates an enemy with raw cosmos power.
• Starlight Extinction:Teleporting the opponent out of sight and out of the fight. Mu released multiple photon shocks, which hit the opponent across the body at the speed of light countless times.

Taurus Aldebaran

The Taurus Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Golden Bull. A good natured giant who wielded wondrous physical strength and unmatched battle speed due to his technique similar to the iai combat principle, Aldebaran was a Gold Saint truly committed to the duty of protecting peace and justice on Earth. During the conflict of the twelve temples, he first opposed the Bronze Saints' rebellion against Sanctuary, as he was tricked by the Pope into deeming them traitors. He was physically the strongest of the Gold Saints in the modern era.

• Great Horn: An attack in which he sends two massive waves of cosmos towards his enemy. The destructive power of this technique is so great, that it pulverizes a warrior completely together with his armor.

Gemini Saga

The main Gemini Gold Saint in the 20th century, first guardian of the Temple of the Twins and elder twin brother to Kanon. A Saint whose heart was entirely devoted to Athena, Saga was afflicted by split personality from his brother's seed of evil. Compelled by the evil side of his personality, Saga plotted to seize Sanctuary and murder the infant Athena to rule the world with an iron fist. He disguised as the false Pope, cloaked in mystery for 13 years until his deception was uncovered by the rebellion of the Bronze Saints led by Athena, who managed to defeat him after a seemingly impossible battle. It is said that he is the most powerful Gold Saint of its generation and as the most powerful Saint to have ever served Athena.

• Galaxian Explosion: Saga's most powerful attack, he concentrates all of his cosmos energy to the maximum in between his hands, and releases it in the form of a gigantic shock-wave capable of obliterating nearly anything in its path. The attack would look like a myriad of galaxies and planets come crashing into his opponent.
• Another Dimension: Saga concentrates his cosmos to the maximum again, then lets off a powerful lightning which rips the space and time, he then proceeds to launch his opponent there and they will wander endlessly inside time and space with no opportunity to return.
• Demon Emperor Fist: With a quick movement of his hands, he shoots a beam of light that goes through the opponent's brain at the speed of light. This is allowing Saga to manipulate him through suggestion.
• Labyrinth of Twins: Illusion to make enemies wander aimlessly around the Gemini Temple without being able to find an exit.

Gemini Kanon

The secondary Gemini Saint in the 20th century, twin brother of Gemini Saga and second guardian of the Temple of the Twins. A man of many traits and consumed by evil since his youth, Kanon was truly a cardinal tool of destiny in the shaping of events in the present era. Shortly after Athena's advent in the 20th century, Kanon conspired to murder her and seize Sanctuary, trying to include his twin brother Saga in his machinations. Horrified by Kanon's intentions, Saga imprisoned him in Cape Sounion, sentencing him to death.

• Galaxian Explosion: Though not as strong as Saga's Galaxian Explosion, the move is practically similar to his big brother's.
• Genrou Ken (Illusion Fist): The enemy is tricked by a series of illusions into doing Kanon's bidding.
• Golden Triangle: A move that bends space and time to open an alternate dimension, where the opponent is sent. Once inside, one is trapped unless the user lets them out, or they are distracted, and forced to stop the technique.
• Labyrinth of Twins: Illusion to make enemies wander aimlessly around the Gemini Temple without being able to find an exit.

Cancer Deathmask

The Cancer Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Giant Crab. Endowed with the ability to freely traverse the threshold to the realm of the dead. Cunning and merciless, Deathmask strayed from the ideals of the Saints, and made no distinction between enemy and innocent, and kept the souls of his victims as trophies in his temple, tormenting them by depriving of their eternal rest. With a nihilism perception of the justice, Deathmask swore allegiance to the false Pope as he considered his evil deeds might be deemed justice by the public in the future.

• Praesepe Underworld Waves (Sekishiki Meikai Ha): 
• Deathmask creates a portal to Yomotsu Hirasaka which is similar to a black hole that sucks the opponents soul into it and left the body seemingly lifeless. 
• Deathmask releases a spiral energy from his index finger which are sent towards his opponent. Upon impact, his opponent's soul is literally ripped from it's body, and casted into the realm of Yomotsu Hirasaka.

Leo Aiolia

The Leo Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Lion, and younger brother of Sagittarius Aiolos. A powerful and virtuous young man of exceptional human quality, passionate for his duty of protecting peace and justice and with a heart burning with loyalty towards Athena, Aiolia was regarded, along Scorpio Milo, as the pride of Sanctuary. Despite having grown up under the undeserved stigma of betrayal of his brother, Aiolos' memory shone brightly in Aiolia's life. He was loyal to the false Pope as he was deceived by him into deeming the Bronze Saints traitors and Saori Kido an usurper of Athena's name.

• Lightning Bolt: Aiolia blasts the opponent with a single, massive energy capsule that travels straight.
• Lightning Plasma: This technique consists in launching many blows per second. If he is using the maximum power of his cosmos, the technique allows Aiolia to fire up to a hundred million blows per second at his opponents.
• Lightning Fang: Aiolia sends his Cosmo energy into the ground, from which it erupts as many pillars of electricity. This technique can be used to defend himself against incoming attacks, to attack his enemies or to paralyze targets.
• Photon Burst: It consists of three movements: Invoke, when Aiolia creates many orbs of photon; Drive, when the photons are directed at his enemy, and Burst, when the photons explode, destroying the target inside out.

Virgo Shaka

The Virgo Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Maiden. An enlightened being who despite his youth conversed with the gods and deemed spiritual realms irrelevant to him, Shaka's mastery of the mysteries of Cosmo in all its aspects granted him incredible might, thus being regarded in Sanctuary as the man who is almost a god. Shaka deprived himself of the sense of sight in order to accumulate Cosmo, thus it was said no one survived once he opened his eyes. Despite Shaka was a Buddhist by conviction and a true Gold Saint who fought for justice, he was loyal to the false Pope of Sanctuary, as his ability to discern a being's true nature revealed to him that the Pope's was a benevolent one.

• Kan: A defensive technique that creates a barrier that encircles Shaka's body.
• Tenma Kofuku (Demon Pacifier): Expands his Cosmos in a huge blast with the essence of the Buddhist lotus and Death on a pale horse which is ridden by a girl, one strong enough to destroy a large part of the Cancer Temple.
• Rikudo Rinne: A technique in which Shaka sends the spirit or soul of his opponent to one of the six Dharma's rebirth realms. Gakikai (The Realm of the Preta), Jinkai (The Realm of Humans), Jigokukai (The Realm of Hell), Chikushokai (The Realm of Beasts), Shurakai (The Realm of the Warring Asura), Tenkai (The Realm of Heaven).
• Tenku Haja Chimimoryo (Heaven Supremacy on Evil Spirits of Rivers and Mountains): Shaka summons minor spirits and sends them against his enemies to devour his soul or spirit.
• Tenbu Horin (The Treasures of Heavens): It traps the opponent into a matrix of illusions and destroys him through five stages. Each stage obliterates one of the opponent's five human senses cumulatively, reduces Shaka's victims to living corpses.

Libra Dohko

Regarded as a man who boasted the greatest raw strength and power among the Gold Saints, and revered as the wise father figure known as Roshi, the Old Master, Dohko exerted the task of judging good and evil among the Saints, and his guidance was a key element in the triumphs of the Bronze Saints in the 20th century. After Hades' defeat in the past, Dohko was granted by Athena the divine gift of the Misopethamenos, a miraculous ability that turned his body virtually impervious to aging, as he was entrusted by her to guard the tower that contained the sealed souls of Hades' Specters. Dohko's armor, the Gold Libra Cloth, contains 6 pairs of weapons to be used by the Gold Saints. The weapons of Libra are 2 Swords, 2 Tonfas, 2 Lances, 2 Nunchuks, 2 Sansetsukons and 2 Shields. Each weapon is highly powerful, able to do things that even the combined power of several Gold Saints could not do.

• Rozan Hyakuryu Ha (Mount Lu One Hundred Dragons Force): Dohko's ultimate attack. It takes the form of one hundred dragons.
• Rozan Sho Ryu Ha (Rising Dragon Punch): Dohko maximum intensifies his cosmos and gives a blow with his fist or kick, the upward energy is comparable to the image of a majestic dragon which rises in the sky.
• Rozan Ryuu Hi Shou: Ryuu Hi Shou dragon energy lunges at its target horizontally.
• Rozan Kou Ryuu Ha: This is basically a suicidal attack, embodied in a dragon energy which sends Libra flying higher and higher through the planet's atmosphere and ultimately blasting through it into space. He can, however, drag someone else along for the ride to suffer the same fate.

Scorpio Milo

The Scorpio Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Heavenly Scorpion. A man of honor, of immaculate conduct and with immense fervor for Athena, Milo was regarded along with Leo Aiolia, as the pride of Sanctuary. As a Gold Saint, he was loyal to Athena, and thus he was obedient to the false Pope of Sanctuary, not without harboring suspicion about his legitimacy.

• Restriction: Milo uses his Cosmo energy to stop the movements of his opponents.
• Scarlet Needle: Milo launches a crimson needle to 14 parts of the body either direct or indirectly to poison opponents, make them bleed, and scream in pain, losing their 5 senses in the process. The holes of the needles draw a miniature of the Scorpius constellation on the body of the victim.
• Antares: The final attack of Scarlet Needle. Whoever receives 14 Scarlet Needles and Antares will die. However if Antares is not delivered, the victim might survive and gradually recover over a period of a few days given the massive blood loss.

Sagittarius Aiolos

The Sagittarius Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Centaur. The embodiment of virtuousness and moral excellence, and a role model for the Saints of the Sanctuary. He was Leo Aioria's older brother and subject of his profound admiration. His qualities and deep devotion to Athena, made the aged Pope choose him as his successor, the event sparking Saga's rebellion. Protecting Athena to the very end at the cost of his life, Aiolos died under the stigma of betrayal. Aiolos' cloth, Sagittarius Cloth, is armed with a bow and a golden arrow.

• Atomic Thunderbolt: Aiolos shoots a massive amount of energy balls with some electric charge.
• Infinity Break: This technique allows Aiolos to shoot an infinite number of light darts that pierce anything upon contact.
• Shadow Arrow: Aiolos throws an invisible arrow at his opponent's shadow to immobilise them.
• Lightning Plasma: Aiolos generates multiple small weak plasma energy which travel at least at the speed of light. If he is using the maximum power of his cosmos, the technique allows Aiolos to fire up to at least 1 billion rounds of plasma per second at his opponents.
• Flash Over: Aiolos outstretches his hand upwards launching thousands of rays of Lightning Plasma to collide with each other emitting destructive sparks.
• Arc Plasma: After executing Flashover Aiolos launches Lightning Plasma with his free hand, concentrating the sparks and Rays to form an sphere around himself.
• Lightning Flame: Aiolos with arms outstretched toward the center of center of the sphere concentrates on all the sparks of Plasma Arc to create a loop which is then thrown against the opponent that surrounds it, which exceed the limits of the power of lightning, producing high voltage flames that destroy the opponent's body.
• Lightning Bolt: Aiolios strikes the air at an extremely fast speed to break the atmosphere and create a vacuum, to then fire a powerful ball of energy to the speed of light. This is a sphere of great destructive power that moves at the speed of light and explodes on contact with the adversary.
• Lightning Implosion: It is a technique in which Aiolos forces Sphere of Lightning to implode upon itself and emit numerous destructive sparks.
• Lightning Telios: Aiolos compresses the lightning within his body to the limit to then release all of the pressure at once within the body of his opponent with an strike. Rays of lighting course through the victim's body until exiting in the color of the victim's blood.

Capricorn Shura

The Capricorn Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Mountain Goat. Extremely strong, he wielded the power of Excalibur, which made his limbs sharp as a razor blade. A serene warrior, Shura possessed many qualities of a true Saint, but he was loyal to the false Pope as he believed that those with power were automatically righteous, and even though the Pope was evil, he could still change the evaluation standard of people exerting his power.

• Sacred Sword Excalibur: Athena granted the legendary sword Excalibur only to a Saint who proved his undying loyalty towards the goddess. This technique is a very sharp blast, composed of extreme cosmo concentration released by his arms and legs movements. Since it is quickly released, it can be used multiple times.
• Double Excalibur: It consists in the use of the Excalibur with his left arm in addition to the right arm, simulating a two-swords fighting style.
• Jumping Stone: When Shura is thrown by the impact of some attack, he grabs his enemy with his legs and flips both of them, so he will be released of the attack and the enemy will be thrown by his own attack.

Aquarius Camus

The Aquarius Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Precious Vessel who is known as the Mage of water and ice. A righteous Saint who led an exemplary life, Camus mentored Cygnus Hyoga and Poseidon's Mariner Kraken Isaac. He taught them the ways of the Saints, emphasizing stoicism and impassiveness in battle, to be able to protect peace on Earth. Although he was suspicious of the Pope, Camus stood against the Bronze Saints rebellion as he was tricked into deeming them traitors.

• Diamond Dust: Camus creates cold air around his fist slowing the atomic motion of the air to form ice which is manifested in the form of countless sharp snow crystals that are launched through a cold strong wind capable of reaching and devastating effect freezing cold.
• Kol'tso (Ring): Camus launches on his index finger rings of icy wind that encycles the body of the target stopping its movements.
• Freezing Coffin: This is a technique used to lock a body inside a block of ice, but since it has a slow realization it probably is not effective against moving targets.
• Aurora Execution: Camus raises his arms above his head then points to the opponent and shoots a beam of energy or glacial stream that reaches a temperature of -273 °C.

Pisces Aphrodite

The Pisces Gold Saint in the 20th century, guardian of the Temple of the Twin Fish. With might as immense as his beauty, atrocity tainted his heart, and swearing allegiance to the false Pope of Sanctuary despite knowing of his murder of the old Pope, justifying this with his belief that the force itself is justice therefore justice is wielded by the strongest.

• Royal Demon Rose: Aphrodite uses red roses as a projectile. When struck by the thorns on the roses or smelling their fragrance, the target would be poisoned until they slowly lost their 5 senses and fell into a sweet aroma of death.
• Piranhan Rose: Aphrodite uses black roses as a projectile. Upon impact, they can break anything within their reach. The power of this technique is high enough to reduce to dust a Bronze Cloth.
• Bloody Rose: Aphrodite uses one or more white roses as a projectile. It strikes at the opponent's chest and drains all blood from their heart. As the white rose draws blood, it eventually becomes red. This is Aphrodite's strongest attack.
• Dagger Rose: Aphrodite is able to create and manipulate large rose's vines. He used them to refrain and strangle his targets, create massive vine blades that slaughter the enemies.

Grand Pope Shion

Shion is the original Grand Pope of the Sanctuary, as well as one of the remaining survivors of the Holy War from the 1700's. He also served as the master of Aries Mu, who would eventually become the successor to the Gold Cloth of Aries slightly prior to his death. Later Shion is one of the resurrected Saints in Saint Seiya Hades Chapter. He is among the most powerful of Athena's Gold Saints and is also versed in the ways of Cloth restoration.

• Stardust Revolution: Stardust technique that uses as raw material to create a shower of stars that is fired at the opponent.
• Crystal Wall: The technique creates a barrier that acts as a strong defense, it may also reflect enemy attacks.
• Praesepe Celestial Wave: A technique that fuses all souls around the user into one giant energy sphere, capable of defeating a God.
