Athena's Bronze Saints In Saint Seiya

The Bronze Saints are the lowest class in terms of power, of Athena's Saints. They wear the Bronze Cloth and posses the basic skill of a Saint. Their mastery in Cosmo is relatively limited and they display superhuman skills that are less impressive than those of higher ranked Saints. They are able to reach Mach 1 (the speed of sound), and to produce a hundred attacks per second. There are 48 Bronze Saints, this makes them the largest in number among the 88 Saints.

Pegasus Seiya

Seiya also known as Pegasus Seiya is one of Athena's 88 mythical warriors known as the Saints who are serving their goddess throughout the ages, protecting justice and peace on Earth. Seiya is one of the forty-eight Bronze Saints and is protected by the Pegasus Constellation so he wears the Pegasus Cloth. He is also the reincarnation of the Bronze Saint Pegasus Tenma and the First Pegasus saint, the first man to harm the god Hades in mythological times.

• Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken (Pegasus Meteor Fist): The signature technique which concentrating his Cosmo and launching a great number of blue meteors from his right fist which emerge at a great speed. Whenever his Cosmo increases, so does the amount of punches, power, and speed.
• Pegasus Sui Sei Ken (Pegasus Comet Fist): Seiya charges up Cosmo in his right hand, and launches a powerful homing ray of pure light at the target.
• Pegasus Rolling Crash: Seiya immobilizes his target physically, then forms a hurricane while rising through the air and then dropping his target on the head, dealing massive damage when they both hit the ground headfirst.

Andromeda Shun

Andromeda Shun, also known as Shun is one of the Bronze Saints. He is arguably one of the strongest in the series, although his gentle disposition and kind nature tend to prevent him from using his true power, unless he is forced to do so. Shun is also the younger brother of Phoenix Ikki, a fellow Bronze Saint. Shun has the purest soul in his era and is the Chosen One. Whether or not he is a reincarnation of a previous vessel of Hades is unknown. To fight, Shun normally relies on the Andromeda chain, as he does not want to use his full power because he does not want to kill the opponents. During the Sanctuary Arc, Shun awoke the 7th sense in his fights against the Gold Saints.

• Nebula Chain: The Andromeda Saint's signature technique that makes the Nebula Chains rapidly slice and wrap themselves around the enemy.
• Rolling Defense: Twirl the chains around himself to create a barrier, or set them on the ground to mimic a circular web
• Circle Defense: In web mode, the chains construct a distance between himself and the opponent, and will discharge energy volts or simply slash the enemy if they attempt to enter the field.
• Thunder Wave: Strike at enemies with an electrified current of burning cosmo running through its spear point. It also can used as the ultimate heat seeking effect.
• Great Capture: A technique that twists the chains to paralyze, capture, or immobilize foes.
• Nebula Stream: It entangles the foe with streams of the Andromeda cosmos in an attempt to paralyze them.
• Nebula Storm: The attack is dispelled as a single burst from the summit of Shun's Cosmo. Because of its extreme destructive nature, Shun will only use it as a last resort.

Cygnus Hyoga

Hyoga is the Bronze Saint of Cygnus. He was trained by Aquarius Camus, and with him he learned to manipulate the ice. Following his master's teachings, he tries to remain rational in the face of everything, but he has an emotional side that he can't let go of. By increasing his Cosmo, Hyoga can freeze objects and people. In his fight against his master, Gold Saint Aquarius Camus, he awoke the 7th sense and used absolute zero air, allowing him to freeze even the Gold Clothes, surpassing his teacher.

• Diamond Dust: Hyoga uses a punch which unleashes a barrage of ice crystals at his enemy, freezing and paralyzing them.
• Holodnyj Smerch (Ice Tornado): It is a technique that captures his Cosmos into a single tornado, which is unleashed via an uppercut.
• Aurora Thunder Attack: It is a horizontal variation of the Kholodinyi Smerch which is performed by clasping both of his hands together as he expels snow and ice at the opponent.
• Aurora Execution: It is a Gold Saint level technique that enables the user to have control over Absolute Zero, a point where everything becomes frozen.

Dragon Shiryu

Shiryu is a bronze saint of Dragon. He is considered the most mature of the five heroes, and thus the wisest. As the Bronze Saint of the Dragon constellation, Shiryu dons the emerald Dragon Bronze Cloth, a jewel among the Clothes due to its legendary defense properties. During his training in Lushan, Shiryu had awakened his Cosmo and learned many fighting styles as well as fundamental wisdom from his master, Libra Dohko. During the Sanctuary Arc, Shiryu awakens the 7th sense in his fight against Cancer Deathmask. He awoke the 8th sense during the Hades Arc.

• Rozan Sho Ryu Ha (Lushan Rising Dragon Lord): Shiryu intensifies his cosmos and gives an upward blow be it punch or kick. The upward release of energy is comparable to the image of a majestic dragon rising towards the sky and devouring the opponent.
• Rozan Ryu Hi Sho (Lushan Dragon Soar): An attack similar to Rozan Sho Ryu Ha, but in a horizontal forward rather than upward.
• Rozan Hyaku Ryu Ha (Lushan One Hundred Dragon Lords): Standing with legs apart and the palms of his hands facing the opponent, he erupts his cosmos as intensely as possible while throwing a horde of 100 Dragons towards the enemy who is destroyed by the devouring dragons.
• Rozan Ko Ryu Ha(Lushan High Dragon Lord): Shiryu suicide and forbidden technique. He burns his Cosmos to the limit before capturing his opponent from behind and carrying his target into the skies. The two continue to climb until their bodies are incinerated and pulverized by the friction of the atmosphere.
• Excalibur: Excalibur is a deadly Cosmo focused with precise sharpness on Shiryu's right arm.

Phoenix Ikki

Ikki is a powerful Bronze Saint as is often confronted with the strongest enemies. His energy level also places it well above all the saints of silver. As the myth of the Phoenix, the power of Ikki increases every time he is killed and resurrected. In his battle with Virgo Shaka, Ikki was able to awaken his seventh sense, which placed him in the ranks of Gold Saints and Hades judges in terms of power and skill. As a saint, Ikki uses two techniques to dispose of his enemies; physical damage, and the other destroys the mind of your enemy.

• Phoenix's Wings Rise (Hoyoku Tensho): Ikki's signature move which gathers forces of wind and heat into a concentrated point, unleashing them in a single blow.
• Phoenix Illusion Demon Fist (Hoo Genmaken): Concentrating his Cosmo into his fist to literally destroy his opponent's mind. Once used, it sends various nightmare illusions which trapped the opponent within an illusion that is almost indistinguishable from reality.
• Phoenix Feathers: Pierce the enemy by launching the feathers of phoenix.

Bear Geki

Geki was one of Mitsumasa Kido's one hundred children who were placed in various orphanages. He was sent to Canada where he trained and managed to become the Bronze Saint of Ursa Major the Great Bear amongst Athena's 88 Saints. He returned to Japan and participated in the Galaxian Wars Tournament held by the Graude foundation. Unfortunately, he met with defeat at the hands of the Pegasus Saint.

Hydra Ichi

Ichi was like the other Bronze Saints that participated in the Galaxian Wars a fellow orphan. His and the other Bronze Saint's father Mitsumasa Kido was the founder of the Graud foundation. After being taken from the orphanage by Mitsumasa he was sent out to train in Finland to become a Saint of Athena. His Hydra Cloth represents the constellation Hydra from Greek mythology.

• Poisonous Claws: Those come from every part of his cloth and target hit by them becomes paralyzed and slowly dies.

Lionet Ban

Ban is one of Athena's 48 Bronze Saints and bears the constellation Leo Minor, also called Lionet. He was sent along with 99 other orphans to different parts of the world to train to become a Saint. He earned his Cloth on Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and was thus one of the only ten that had succeeded in their training.

Unicorn Jabu

Jabu is one of the Bronze Saints who protect Athena. As a fellow orphan he had been sent out with 99 more of his brothers by their father Mitsumasa Kido. He achieved the Cloth of Monoceros the Unicorn in Algeria and returned to Japan to participate in the Galaxian Wars tournament to receive the Gold Cloth of Sagittarius. Later he returned to his master in Algeria to further his training, and during this time his Cloth came to upgrade itself as well.

• Unicorn Gallop: The user launches a hundred kicks on his opponent.
• Telekinesis: The user releases energy rays that paralyze and cause pain to the enemy.

Wolf Nachi

Nachi is one of the 100 orphans that were brought into the Graud Foundation to fulfill a project: to be trained to become future Saints for the goddess Athena. Only 10 of the children survived the entire process, and they grew up to become Bronze Saints.

• Dead Howling: A fast attack on the impulse of the fist in the air projected sharp angles that pierce the enemy creating large internal cuts.

Bronze Saints in Saintia-Sho

Equuleus Kyoko

Kyoko is one of the Saintias and the sister of Sho. She loses control of her body in favor of Eris. However, Kyoko does not disappear completely. Her consciousness and managed to temporarily take over the goddess when the latter found Shoko. On this occasion, the Cosmos resonates with her former Cloth and sister.

• Equuleus Ryusei Ken: Kyoko launches a hundred star-charged punches on her opponent.

Equuleus Shoko

Sho is the Saintia of the Equuleus Constellation and main protagonist of the spin-off manga Saint Seiya - Saintia Sho. Her full name is Shoko and she is the younger sister of the previous Equuleus Saintia, Kyoko. She is the potential host of Eris, the Goddess of Discord.

• Equuleus Ryusei Ken: Shoko launches a hundred star-charged punches on her opponent.
• Equuleus Sui Sei Ken: Shoko fires a massive blast of star energy from her fist.

Delphinus Mii

Mii is the private secretary of Saori Kido in Saintia-Sho. Later in the story Mii appears to be Saintia, specifically the Delphinus Saintia. Her full name is Alicia Mii Benethol. As a Saintia and the personal secretary of Saori, Mii is well aware of different threats to the goddess. In addition, she constantly continues to monitor the safety and rejects any suspicious gathering.

• Angel Splash: Delphinus throws a blast of water at her enemy
• Heaven's Maelstrom: Delphinus creates a whirlpool around her foe.

Northern Crown Katya

Katya was sent by the Grandmaster along with Scutum Juan and Southern Cross Georg to destroy the false Athena. Katya fought with Ursa Minor Xiaoling and froze her with her Jewel Tears attack. She attempted to do the same with Delphinus Mii, but Mii blocked the worst of the attack with her water powers. Pavo Mayura appeared and quickly defeated Katya before taking her to retrain. She would team up with the other Santias in the last battle with Eris.

• Jewel Tears: Katya creates a tornado of frost that envelops her foes and freezes them solid.

Ursa Minor Xiaoling

A Chinese Saintia who wears the Ursa Minor Bronze Cloth. Her real name is Xing Xiaoling. She trains at the Saint Academy and with the completion of her studies, Xiaoling receives the Ursa Minor Cloth.

• Polar Heavens Seven Star Fist: Xiaoling charges her fists with flowery pink energy and throws supercharged punches at her enemies.

Cassiopeia Erda

Erda is short-haired Saintia wearing the Cassiopeia Bronze Cloth who wishes to one day become a Gold Saint. She is traveling on her motorcycle to the Saintia Academy when the school is destroyed by Cancer Deathmask. Erda contacts the Saints to tell them and learns of Eris's return quickly goes to help her fellow Santias fight the evil god. Erda then joined with her fellow Saintias to combine their Cosmo to defeat Eris.

• Greatest Eruption: Erda shatters the ground, releasing hundred of magma shards at her enemy.

Bronze Saint in Gigantomachia

Sextans Yulij

Sextans Yulij is a secondary Bronze female Saint introduced in Gigantomachia. She is described as a silver-haired warrior priestess whose master is Altar Nicole. She is passionate about astronomy and has the task of observing the stars on behalf of Athena.

Bronze Saint in Episode G

Lynx Retsu

Lynx Retsu was a Bronze Saint in the manga Episode G, and Silver Saint Triangle Noesis' apprentice. Shortly after receiving his Bronze Lynx Cloth, he was sent with his master to explore a cave where a mysteryous, dangerous Cosmo lurked. They discover that the Cosmo belongs to Euryale, one of the three Gorgons, which has been revived when the Titans awoke.

Anime-only characters

Chameleon June

Genet was trained alongside Andromeda Shun on Andromeda Island under the tutelage of Cepheus Daidalos. She was very protective of the Andromeda Saint, and tried to make him quit to avoid him getting hurt. Despite her wishes, Shun attained Sainthood and left for Japan, leaving Genet behind. She completed her training successfully and earned the Bronze Chamaeleon Cloth.

Ennetsu Saint

Ennetsu Saint or Saint of the Flame, is a warrior under Gigas's command, accompanying the latter to Japan in a last attempt to recover the mask of the Sagittarius Cloth. He is an anime-only character. He is terribly sadistic and cruel, he actually derived pleasure from torturing Andromeda Shun with his flames. Despite this, he is devoted to Gigas, and the two share a father-son dynamic.

• Fire Screw: Ennetsu Saint creates a whirlwind of flame around his opponent.
