The Joestar Group In Stardust Crusader
The Joestar Group is a nickname given to the team of protagonists prominent in each part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The group is composed of different members in each part, but generally consists of a JoJo, their sidekick, and various other allies all following the same or a similar plan of action
Jotaro Kujo Jotaro is a delinquent who lives an ordinary life until the Joestar Family's old enemy, DIO, returns. Jotaro travels to Egypt in order to save his mother and stop the Vampire once and for all. Wielding the incredibly powerful Star Platinum, Jotaro is the first JoJo introduced with a Stand, and is among the most well-known characters of the series.
Joseph Joestar As the grandson of Jonathan Joestar, Joseph is a natural-born Ripple user and eventual Stand user, wielding the psychic photographic Stand, Hermit Purple. He has considerably mellowed out, having lost much of his aggression and laziness. He is also the second most recurring JoJo in the series after his grandson Jotaro Kujo. He is also the father of Josuke Higashikata, the protagonist of Diamond is Unbreakable.
Muhammad Avdol Introduced as an Egyptian friend of Joseph Joestar, he joins the group on their journey to defeat DIO, providing knowledge and guidance about enemy Stand Users and local cultures along the way. He is a Stand User and wields the fire manipulating Stand, Magician's Red. He generally presents himself as a serious, responsible and overall righteous individual.
Noriaki Kakyoin Kakyoin is a Japanese student who was brainwashed by DIO during an earlier trip to Egypt and is sent to kill Jotaro Kujo. After being freed from DIO's influence, he decides to join Jotaro on his quest to Egypt to save Jotaro's mother and find redemption.
- Start Platinum: is a close-range Stand, with a basic reach of only 2 meters from Jotaro's body, but with incredible strength, speed, and precision. It is one of the most powerful Stands featured in the series.
- Super Strength: Star Platinum possesses immense strength.
- Super Speed: Star Platinum boasts phenomenal speed.
- Self-Preservation: Star Platinum possesses the awareness and reaction speed to protect Jotaro in many instances that he himself seems unaware.
- Precision: Star Platinum is incredibly precise.
- Enhanced Eyesight: Star Platinum utilizes eagle-like eyesight throughout Stardust Crusaders.
- Ora Ora Rush: Star Platinum's primary method of attack. It throws an extremely fast but precise barrage of powerful punches to pulverize an opponent or destroy objects.
- Star Finger: Star Platinum can forcibly extend its middle and index fingers to a length of one or two meters, allowing it to perform sneak attacks and stab opponents from afar.
- Hermit Purple: Hermit Purple's vines are relatively weak, but they provide Joseph with considerable divination ability, enabling him to divine and materialize any type of information, such as an image, a location or even thoughts. Joseph also can use the vines as ropes, whose movements he can control at will.
- Divination: Hermit Purple's main ability is to divine information. By using any object or material in conjunction with Hermit Purple, Joseph Joestar can display any information he wishes to see. He can produce psychic photographs by destroying a camera, produce live psychic videos on a television and conjure a map out of dust on an unpaved road, with precision on the location of a desired item.
- Ripple Transmission: Joseph has shown the ability to transmit the Ripple through Hermit Purple as an extension of his body.
- Magician's Red: It is an extremely powerful close-range Stand that while limited in versatility, more than makes up for it with its devastatingly powerful arsenal of capabilities specifically developed for combat.
- Super Strength: While Magician’s Red’s physical attacks are limited to a short distance, the Stand remains quite physically powerful compared to most.
- Super Speed: Magician’s Red has been shown to be much faster than its bulky appearance suggests.
- Precision: Magician’s Red has masterful efficiency and fluidity over the exact movement and arrangement of the flames that it produces.
- Pyrokinesis: Magician's Red is capable of generating flames intense enough to evaporate metal projectiles in mid-air and melt railroad tracks in seconds.
- Cross Fire Hurricane: Magician's Red can fire a few salvos of the Crossfire Hurricane, a spectacular signature move that sends forth ankhs of flame from its mouth in a great storm.
- Life Detector: Magician's Red can produce a "heat radar", a cruciform mass of psychic flame pointing in six directions: up and down, left and right, forward and backward.
Kakyoin is a Stand User and wields the long-ranged Hierophant Green. He is shown brutally ruthless with his enemies but endlessly loyal to his companions.
- Hierophant Green: It is the Stand of Noriaki Kakyoin. Hierophant Green is an elastic and remote Stand, capable of being deployed far away from its user and performing actions from a distance. Kakyoin has possessed this Stand since birth. It has a large number of abilities to assist it in combat and scouting.
- Coiled Body: As Hierophant Green's original appearance is not humanoid, but instead just a group of connected membranes, it is able to unravel itself into multiple long strings for multiple purposes such as acting like ropes. A single string has the ability to sense when someone is touching it and can attack either automatically or at Kakyoin's command.
- Marionette Control: Hierophant Green is capable of sliding its coils into a person's body, allowing Kakyoin complete control of that person.
- Emerald Splash: It is Hierophant Green's most powerful ability. It gathers energy into its body, causing it to glow bright green, before firing off a large amount of energy which takes the form of emeralds.
Jean Pierre Polnareff In Stardust Crusaders, the Frenchman Polnareff travels with Jotaro and Joseph to avenge his sister, who was murdered by a man with two right hands. He is a Stand User and wields Silver Chariot. Polnareff is also depicted as a boastful but honorable and well-meaning Frenchman.
- Silver Chariot: It is a powerful, battle-dedicated close-range Stand that primarily fights with the rapier it is equipped with. All its powers directly assist the Stand in battle but have limited use anywhere else. It is an incredibly agile Stand, able to attack enemies with barrages of sword slashes and thrusts before the opponent can react.
- Speed: Silver Chariot is an incredibly quick Stand, as it is able to appear in multiple places at once, due to moving at a speed faster than the human eye can process and creating illusory afterimages.
- Power: Even though the majority of Silver Chariot's power is in its astonishing speed, it still has great destructive power.
- Precision: Silver Chariot's speed is perhaps only matched by its precision.
- Armor On/Off: Polnareff is able to shed Silver Chariot's armor in order to gain more tremendous speed, but doing so renders his Stand more vulnerable to attack as a trade-off.
- Shooting the Sword: Silver Chariot's only ranged ability is actually a secret technique. This launches his sword with great force and precision, capable of ricocheting off other objects and striking with enough force to pierce the opponent.
Iggy An urban mutt from the streets of New York, Iggy begrudgingly aids the protagonists on their final expedition to Cairo, Egypt to defeat DIO. Iggy is a Stand user who wields The Fool. He is described as a particularly antisocial dog with a bad personality.
- The Fool: As a Stand with a basic-but-versatile power, The Fool is described as the epitome of the simplest way is the best way.
- Sand Manifestation: The Fool manifests itself from a pile of sand that Iggy manipulates. Iggy is free to manipulate the sand which is being immune to being soaked for instance or changing density to trap an object inside it. As The Fool is only bound to the sand it manipulates, it cannot be harmed in any way, and as such, Iggy cannot and will not be harmed if the Stand is attacked.
- Shapeshifting: The Fool is able to take the shape of anything Iggy wants, from living people to just objects that are useful to Iggy.
- Keen sense of smell: Being a dog, Iggy has a great sense of smell. It allows him to detect people from far away and even Stands from their smell.
