Main Characters & Allies In Battle Tendency

Joseph Joestar
Joseph is the 2nd JoJo of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. He is a natural-born Ripple user and eventual Stand user. Joseph meets the fantastic threats approaching him throughout his life with initiative and impressive ingenuity, battling Vampires, the Pillar Men, and malevolent Stand users. Joseph inherited the Ripple and its capabilities from his grandfather, Jonathan Joestar, as well as his mother, Lisa Lisa. In addition, he uses techniques commonly present in stage magic to confuse his foes. After his Ripple training, Joseph frequently combines his Ripple with other objects to perform complex and creative attacks.
  • Clacker Volley: Joseph chucks the Clackers into his opponent's direction. From there, Joseph can slingshot them from behind his back at the enemy in all directions.
  • Clacker Boomerang: Joseph throws both pairs of Clackers into a beam or pillar behind the opponent. He essentially flings them back towards the opponent from behind, much like how a boomerang works.

Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli
Caesar is an Italian Ripple user and disciple of Lisa Lisa. He is the grŠ°ndson of Will Anthonio Zeppeli and battles the Pillar Men alongside his allies and teachers to honor his heritage as a Zeppeli. Being a natural-born Ripple user through his grandfather's bloodline, Caesar was able to project its power from an early age, though it was only under Lisa Lisa's guidance that he learned how to properly use it. The base for most of his attacks relies on his gloves, which are loaded with a special soap-like substance. Because of this, he is able to release bubbles from his hands at any time and fuse them with the Ripple to create deadly projectiles.
  • Bubble Launcher: Signature Attack. Caesar fires out a barrage of bubbles from his gloves, each coated in the Ripple.
  • Bubble Barrier: Caesar conjures a single gigantic bubble capable of absorbing and trapping its target.
  • Bubble Cutter: Caesar further reinforces his bubble launcher, and creates bubbles with the ability to slice. These bubbles move at a higher velocity and have higher tractability, allowing Caesar to fire them in any direction with ease.
  • Bubble Cutter Gliding: By launching a few bubbles, Caesar is able to aim them much like homing projectiles. They are able to go around objects and have a higher chance of hitting the opponent.
  • Bubble Lenses: The bubbles have the ability to refract light and focus them into multiple beams and eventually shooting them at their target.
  • Ripple Hypnosis: Caesar can hypnotize people by using the Ripple on them. The process can involve a kiss or simply touching the head with the hands.
  • Repel: Caesar is able to use the Ripple as a repellent of sorts, as well as a shield.

Lisa Lisa
Lisa Lisa, real name is Elizabeth Joestar , is the wife of George Joestar II and the mother of Joseph Joestar. A powerful Ripple master, she acts as mentor to both Joseph and Caesar Zeppeli. Residing in Venezia, with an initially unknown past, she leads the Ripple Users' efforts in battling the Pillar Men, later revealing her connection to Joseph during the end of Battle Tendency. She was trained by Tonpetty's successor, Straizo.
  • Snake Muffler: Lisa Lisa's primary method of fighting involves a scarf made with the yarn of the Satiporoja beetle, which can conduct the Ripple at 100%. She can channel her Ripple through her scarf and use the sensitivity of the scarf to detect life signs and know the direction of incoming attacks.

Robert E. O. Speedwagon
Following the events of Part 1, Speedwagon traveled to America and got rich in the oil industry. With his fortune, he created the Speedwagon Foundation, an organization featuring studies in medical research, wild animal and plant protection, and secretly, a Supernatural Research Department with the sole purpose of aiding the Joestar Family. As head of this company, Speedwagon has full power over all employees, including several leading scientists and workers. Speedwagon often employs resources in the organization, including transportation by helicopters, submarines, cars, and planes, as well as development in weapons technology.

Rudol von Stroheim
Stroheim is introduced as a Nazi officer researching and experimenting on the Pillar Man Santana. Eventually, he and his unit cooperate with the Ripple users to stop the threat of the Pillar Men. After being resurrected as a Cyborg, Stroheim's physical capabilities increased and with it his rank to Colonel status. As a Cyborg, his strength increases significantly and he had also gained partial immortality.
  • Abdominal Machine Gun: A machine gun inside Stroheim's stomach region, able to shoot 600 armored bullets per minute, and capable of piercing a 30-millimeter steel plate.
  • Ultraviolet Radiation Beam: Inside Stroheim's mechanized eye is a small laser cannon capable of firing a concentrated beam of Ultraviolet light.
  • Ultraviolet Shoulder Cannons: Stroheim is able to fire out powerful blasts of ultraviolet light from two flood lights located on each side of his shoulders.
  • Projectile Hand: Stroheim is capable of firing off his mechanical hand with enough force to impale and deeply wound an enemy.

Mark
Mark is a German soldier and a friend of Caesar Zeppeli who participated in the effort for stopping the Pillar Men's awakening. He expresses full enthusiasm for his role as a soldier and being able to serve his country. He was planning to marry his girlfriend before the war, despite his young age, displaying happiness whenever it was mentioned.

Messina
Messina is Lisa Lisa's servants and Ripple masters. He and Loggins take up training Joseph and Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in the ways of the Ripple. As one of Lisa Lisa's disciples, Messina is considered a skilled Ripple User and fighter. He is respected by both Caesar and Joseph as one of their masters, and his skill is indicated by being the final test for Caesar's 20 day training.

Loggins
Loggins is one of Lisa Lisa's servants and a fellow Ripple master, he personally trains Joseph after his first encounter with the Pillar Men. He displays a very demanding demeanor when instructing Joseph and Caesar, often forcing them to do tough trials during their Ripple training. Despite this, he seems to have, along with Messina, a sense of humor as the two would often tease their disciples.

Suzi Q
Suzi Q, known as Suzi Q Joestar later in her life, is Lisa Lisa's servant, but a powerless human. Suzi Q becomes Joseph Joestar's love interest and later wife. She is ditzy and forgetful but loyal to her cause. She develops a crush on Joseph after seeing his face without a special Ripple training mask on for the first time. She is possessed by a disembodied Esidisi and is forced to send the Super Aja to the Pillar Man's allies and then attack the others before Caesar and Joseph manage to use ripple to force the Pillar Man out of her body without endangering her life. She nurses Joseph back to health after his battle with Kars, and then becomes his wife in the end of Battle Tendency

Erina Pendleton
Erina is a young girl from Jonathan Joestar's hometown, who becomes his love interest and she eventually becomes his wife which now makes her Erina Joestar, the mother to George Joestar II and the grandmother/guardian to Joseph Joestar.

Smokey Brown
Smokey is an ordinary petty thief hailing from New York whose newfound friendship with Joseph Joestar places him at the spectator's seat of the battle against the Pillar Men. He is friendly and mild-mannered. He is often shocked by the fantastic, horrific situations that surround his friend Joseph Joestar.
