The Five Threats In Hunter X Hunter

The Five Threats are five different specimens that were obtained from the Dark Continent, during five different voyages in the past. At the end of each of the five successful voyages, humanity brought back Five Threats: the botanical weapon Brion, the gaseous lifeform Ai, the two-tailed snake Hellbell, the human-keeping beast Pap, and the immortality sickness Zobae Disease.

Ai
Ai, a Gaseous Lifeform, is a mysterious being and one of the Five Threats that humanity met in the Dark Continent. It lives South-southwest of Lake Mobius, but some of its victims have also been found in the known world. Little is known of Ai's appearance, but it seems to be a gaseous life-form with limb-like appendages extending from its main form. Also, not much is stated about Ai's abilities, but it is capable of killing humans, as it has made victims in the known world. According to the Hunter Association's "Dangerous Creatures Evaluation List", Ai merits a threat level of A, which is even higher than that of the Chimera Ants.

Brion
Brion the Botanical Weapon is a mysterious being and one of the Five Threats that humanity encountered in the Dark Continent. It is located in a labyrinth city about 400km from the edge of a forest North of Lake Mobius. It appears as an enormous sphere on top of a human body, where the head should be. Not much is known about Brion's abilities, but, according to Ging Freecss, its threat level is A. The current Chairman of the Hunter Association, Cheadle Yorkshire, proclaimed that its danger rank is B+, which is even higher than that of the Chimera Ants.

Hellbell
Hellbell, The Twin-Tailed Snake, is a mysterious snake being that counts as one of the Five Threats. It lives in the swamplands situated south of Lake Mobius, in the Dark Continent. It is a snake-like creature with two tails. Its distinguishing feature is a large, black lump resembling a bell. Hellbell is said to infect its prey with homicidal desire. According to Ging Freecss, the threat level of the Hellbell is B+. However, the current Chairman of the Hunter Association, Cheadle Yorkshire, proclaimed that its danger rank has been raised from B+ to A, which is even higher than that of the Chimera Ants. Previously, when the Federation of Ochima came into its territory, Hellbell was able to annihilate 99% of their forces, leaving only 11 survivors, a testament to its power.

Pap
Pap the Human-Keeping Beast is a mysterious beast that feeds on humans and keeps them as pets, and is counted as one of the Five Threats. It lives in a mountain range in the Dark Continent along the Northeast shore of Lake Mobius, but some of its victims have also been found in the known world. Pap's appearance is still unknown. It seems to be able to sprout feelers which it inserts in the skulls of its human victims. According to the Hunter Association's "Dangerous Creatures Evaluation List", Pap merits a danger ranking of A, which is even higher than that of the Chimera Ants. Its victims are shrunk to the size of dolls, and all have an antler sticking out of their head. The creature's full title reads "A trade-off between life and pleasure", which may be related to its abilities, and is said to be capable of taming humans.

The Zobae Disease
The Zobae Disease, also called The Immortality Disease or simply Zobae, is a mysterious sickness and one of the Five Threats that humanity met in the Dark Continent. It can be contracted south-east of the known world. Not much is known about the Zobae Disease. According to Ging Freecss, its threat level is either A or B. The current Chairman of the Hunter Association, Cheadle Yorkshire, proclaimed that its danger rank is B+, which is even higher than that of the Chimera Ants. The sickness seems to have a high fatality rate, and out of all the members of the expedition who contracted it, only one survived. The only known survivor, a Hunter, obtained the uncanny capacity to live entirely self-sufficiently and without sustenance for many years, becoming practically immune to death. It seems self-sustenance is achieved through feeding on one's own flesh, and that the disease greatly accelerates the regeneration of tissues. The sanity of those who are infected is very likely to be heavily affected. It is also possible that, among other symptoms, it causes their skin to turn dark in color. It is still unknown how this disease is contracted, and there is no cure as of yet.

Unit 9 is one of the police force in Active Raid anime. The members of this team are: Kyoukai Sama  As a mechanic and operator of Unit 9, he handles decisions. In some cases, He also conducts on-site surveys. Like Kyoukai, they are dispatched from the association, but they do not seem to know each other's names. He is also in charge of narration for Unit 9 commercials. He also uses the pseudonym " Owashi Joe ". Due to their collateral damage of city infrastructure, Unit 8 has a bad reputation within the police force and public media.
