7 Type Of Claymore Missions

Claymore series shows the adventure of Claymore to defeat Yoma within 47 district area assigned to each warrior. When warriors are not on a mission, they can move freely in their district, but they are always under surveillance. However, they are mostly seen having a mission from their organization. Here are seven types of their missions during the series:

Awakened Hunt
Mission involves a team effort to suppress Awakened Beings. A hunting party normally consists of four Claymores of varying strength, their mission: killing an Awakened Being. Despite the presence of a single-digit Claymore, who is normally included, the hunt can still end with the death or Awakening of a party member. Example: Paburo hunt.

Black Card
Mission involves euthanizing a warrior before she awakens. When a Claymore discovers herself in danger of Awakening, she sends her card to another Claymore, usually a trusted friend. The recipient rendezvous with the sender at a private locale. Then, the recipient euthanizes the sender. Example: Elena and Clare.

Covert Operation
Mission involves impersonating ordinary humans to blend into the human population. Usually Claymore will take yoki-suppressant pills, changing the eye color to normal, but having the side-effect of impairing yoki-sensing abilities. The pills also hinders Claymore's abiliity to find the Yoma. Example: Clare posing as an antiques dealer in Rabona.

Purge
Mission involves execution of warriors, either guilty of obedience or in danger of awakening. Claymores who break the rules (killing a human, desertion) are hunted down and usually executed. In less time-pressed situations, troublemakers and/or the half-Awakened may be sent on suicide missions. Example: Teresa who is breaking the Organization's cardinal rule

Search and Rescue
Mission involves finding and retrieval of personnel by sending one or more claymore warrior to the battlefield. Wether it is successful or not, the mission should be reported to the organization immediately. Example: Galatea in Witch's Maw.

Surveillance
Mission involves surveillance of warriors and Yoma entities. Assignee is the Organization Eyes. The Eye is a warrior who excels in wide range Yoki sensing and for this the Organization uses this warrior as their spy to keep the other warriors in check. If they go missing or to find out how they did in battles the eye will be dispatched. Example: Galatea in Paburo Mountains.

Yoma Suppression
Mission is usually a solo assignment to eliminate Yoma. Yoma-infested towns usually contact the Organization, which dispatches one or more Claymores to exterminate the Yoma. In the case of Awakened Beings, an Awakened Being Hunting Party is sent. Example: Clare in Doga.
