The People Of The Land In Log Horizon

The People of the Land are usually referred to as the non-player characters (NPCs) of the world of Elder Tale. Prior to the Apocalypse they had limited responses and mannerisms to interaction by adventurers and would normally assign quests to them and present rewards should they be completed. After the Apocalypse they somehow became sentient, able to possess emotions, language and much complexity in thought. They are usually weaker in terms of combat orientation as opposed to Adventurers and unlike Adventurers, they do not respawn after being killed, resulting in a permanent death.

Although she is a maid, she is rather bold, unafraid to put her own life in peril to defend Raynesia.

Phenel Cowen
Phenel Tsuleu-Arde Cowen is a member of the Cowen family, the most prestigious dukedom in the Eastal League of Free Cities, by his marriage to Saraliya. Until he comes of age, Phenel serves as his guardian.

Iselus
Iselus El-Arde Cowen is the third child of Phenel and Saraliya, and the younger brother of Risselthea and Raynesia. As the only male direct descendant of Sergiad, he is the primary candidate to succeed his grandfather as head of the Eastal League of Free Cities. Currently, his father serves as his guardian. Kinjo is a very stoic and expressionless individual, but it is hard to tell whether he constantly wears a poker face or if he truly cannot express emotion.
