5 Adventurer Cities In Log Horizon

Adventurer Cities are settlements where players can start once they are logged into any Elder Tale server. In the Yamato server, its five Adventurer Cities are collectively known as the "Five Big Cities". These cities serve as the bases of operations for guilds, parties, and solo players, and as a safe zone from the monsters (and PKers) outside. All Adventurer Cities initially had Royal Guards that enforced the no-PK policy and protected them from external threats. The Guards' suits, along with the magical barriers that protect the cities from monsters, are all connected to a large magic circle that is found underneath the city.

Here is the list of known adventurer cities in Yamato server:

Akiba
The Adventurer City of Akiba is the largest of the five main cities in the Yamato server of Elder Tale and the hometown of half the server's players. It has the appearance of an old, overgrown city with streets lined with crumbling, derelict buildings and rough stretches of asphalt buried under carpets of moss and entwined with vines. Annexes and additions have been stacked organically onto the ruins, and the roots of trees spread out across the roads. Considered the holy land of the Ancients, it is an old ruined concrete city now smothered in verdant green. Later in the series, as most people have adjusted to their new lives and purchased buildings, Akiba appears more livable.

Minami
Minami is one of the five main cities on the Japanese server of Elder Tale. Like the other main cities, Minami serves as the base of operation for guilds, parties, and solo players, and as a safe zone from the monsters (and PKers) outside. After the Catastrophe, the city quickly fell into the hands of Plant Hwyaden and its guild mistress, Nureha, who used her Courtesan subclass to seduce and manipulate the nobles in the city into giving her the money to buy the city's Cathedral, granting her the power over life and death there. With all players within the city united under one guild, they went on to take over and suppress Nakasu.

Susukino
Susukino is one of the five main cities on the Japanese server of Elder Tale. It is an Adventurer City located in the Ezzo Empire. Before the Catastrophe, it was also the capital of the Ezzo Empire and housed its royal family. The royal family was situated in the first of Susukino's two zones, the ruins of a castle. The Adventurers resided in the second zone, the urban area. After the Catastrophe, Susukino became a lawless city run by the guild Brigandia. However, after Demiqas's defeat, the city fell further into more lawlessness. Sometime after the formation of the Round Table Alliance, the Silver Sword made an expedition to Susukino and wrestled control of Susukino away from Brigandia. The guild's new presence brought back stability and peace to both the People of the Earth and remaining Adventurers that still lived there.

Shibuya
Shibuya is one of the five main cities on the Yamato server. Shibuya is the newest of the five cities on the Japanese server and was created with the intention of dispersing some of the players in Akiba. As a result, Shibuya lacks a Guild Meeting Hall, Bank, and Market, as guilds use the facilities of the other four cities instead. Heavily dependent on the transport gates, the city was essentially paralyzed after the Catastrophe. Many of the Adventurers based there left for Akiba, and very few remain.

Nakasu
Nakasu is one of the five Adventurer Cities on the Japanese server of Elder Tale. Nakasu is the Player City in the Ninetails Dominion, located due west of Minami. Several days after the Catastrophe, Plant Hwyaden suddenly appeared and declared its unification with Nakasu; however, the truth was that the city was suppressed. As a result, the city's population declined sharply as most of its inhabitants went to Minami or escaped surveillance and went into hiding.
