As priests who work for the sanctuaries, Clerics have the highest healing skills among the twelve classes. They are capable of equipping plate armor, giving them the highest defense potential out of all the Healer classes.

The Cleric's healing gimmick is known as Reactive Healing: spells are applied to an ally beforehand, and once they take damage, the spell activates and automatically heals them. A skilled Cleric is said to cancel out an average of three to ten attacks with all kinds of recovery and healing skills. However, similar to the Enchanter class, Clerics lack strong offensive abilities and must join a party to be effective against strong enemies.

There are two main builds for Clerics: Armor Cleric (mixed melee attack and recovery type) and High Healer (healing specialization).
  • Armor Cleric: Equipping plate armor and shields for armor and maces and swords for weapons, this "Combat Priest" is common.
  • High Healer: A build that supports allies with magical attacks and recovery spells from the rear, away from monsters.

Known Skills

Cure
A basic cure magic that removes negative status effects from a single ally. It consumes little MP and has the ability to remove negative status effects regardless of type, but higher skill ranks allow shorter casting times for this skill. Its effect is a pale blue light similar to that of Heal.

Bug’s Light
This spell produces a source of light in the shape that vaguely resembles a firefly, allowing the caster and allies to see things in the dark. This magic is equivalent to Magic Light of Mage classes.

Heal
It heals allies, though at a slow rate.

Healing Light
Healing Light is a low level restoration spell. It is relatively weak but has a short cast time and is often used to bridge the gap while waiting for higher level skills to cool down. When used, a six pointed star appears at the user's fingertip, bathing the target in white light which restores the target's hp.

Sanctuary
A magic square spreads out from the caster, transforming the surrounding area into sacred ground. Allies that step inside this zone are blessed with increased physical and magical defense. In order to maintain this zone, the caster is prohibited from moving away from the point of activation. For this reason, setting up Sanctuary requires careful planning of battle formations beforehand.

Aurora Heal 
When cast, Aurora Heal has a wide range of recovery; anyone underneath its rainbow-colored aurora will be healed, even if there are a hundred people under it. Out of all the recovery skills, only Aurora Heal is geared specifically for raids.
