Maruko's Classmates In Chibi Maruko Chan

This is the list of Maruko's classmates in her school. All of them have unique appearance and different kind of favorite foods. Check this out!

Tamae 

Maruko's best friend. She braids her up and wears glasses. A kind and cheerful girl. She listens to Maruko's notions and remarks seriously. She sometimes imagines transforming herself into an alpine girl Tammy and talks her feelings in her imagination when she encounters unbelievable things. Her favorite food is melon, pudding and cakes.

Hanawa 

Comes from very rich family. He acts genteel a bit but a gentle and kind boy. His classmates are jealous of him for coming to school by car and spending holidays in overseas as rich people do. He is smart and speaks English which makes him look perfect, yet he has messy writings. He lives in huge house where Maruko and friends often want to visit. He kindly invites them to his house whenever they want. His favorite food is sushi and Italian cuisine.

Maruo 

The president of Maruko's class. Smart and polite boy. He wants to be a role model of classmates. Every his actions are for winning in next election. He makes efforts for classmates but sometimes his efforts prove futile. His favorite food is loquat, cold soba noodles with dipping sauce and tempura.

Noguchi 

A calm and quiet girl with gloomy looks apparently, but she loves comedy very much and has often animated conversations about it with Maruko. She has deep knowledge about comedy and autographs of famous comedian as well. She has also cynical aspect that she makes and enjoys her own secret. Her favorite food is salted cod roe and soft roe.

Toshiko 

A quiet and gentle girl. She often talks and hangs out with Maruko and Tamae. Her favorite food is cookies and shortcakes.

Hamaji 

A funny and energetic boy. He is a bit gruff but likes something fun. He makes classmates laugh by doing something like impersonation. He gets along with Maruko as they are class clown. His favorite food is pocky (Japanese snack sold as Mikado in overseas) and crisps.

Boo taro 

A timid and slow tempo boy. He had become an apprentice with Ono and Sugiyama once as he longs to be cool like them. He also cares his sister. His favorite food is pork and steamed bun with minced pork filling.

Nagasawa 

He is usually sarcastic. He is close to Fujiki but cold to him. He makes everyone frozen by saying cold words, yet he has a conscience on the other hand as sometimes he does introspection on it and apologizes for it later. He also cares his brother. His favorite food is sandwiches and pork cutlet rice bowl dish.

Fujiki 

A bit gloomy boy. He is the tallest guy among classmates but timid. When he has troubles, he lies to escape the issue. He, therefore, is denounced as a coward from classmates. Yet he also has a gentle aspect as he tries to be on Nagasawa's side even Nagasawa treats him coldly. He likes Sasayama and often imagines a moment that he is having fun with her. He is a good skater. His favorite food is corn dog and ramen(noodle).

Yamane 

He suffers from stomachache when he feels nerves. He wants to be a strong person so tries to be hard and strong but fails as he worries about his stomach too much. His favorite food is banana, sponge cake and seaweed boiled in soy sauce.

Kosugi 

A big eater and very aggressive when it comes to food. His mother took him to a hospital once as she worried about his appetite based on the incident that he stole rice cooker filled with rice from his house and ran away around the town because he wanted to eat all of the rice in the cooker. His favorite food is ... food.

Yamada 

A happy and optimistic boy. He laughs all the time. He does not feel down even he gets zero score on exams. His way of speaking is also jolly. He is sometimes respected as he thinks little. His favorite food is rice ball, fried rice and curry rice.

Jogasaki 

A pretty and mature girl. She comes from a rich family (Less Hanawa though). She gets along with Maruko and Tamae but does not like Nagasawa, therefore, she quarrels with Nagasawa sometimes. Her favorite food is ice cream sundae and French toast.

Sasayama 

A gentle and cute girl. Fujiki likes her. She hangs out with Jogasaki. Her favorite food is doughnut and soda float.

Migiwa 

She passionately loves Hanawa. A romantic girl likes girly stuff. She is very aggressive when it comes to Hanawa. She becomes happy when Hanawa talks to her nice or angry when she finds a girl trying to be close to Hanawa. Her favorite food is apple pie and pasta.

Ono 

He is a popular guy in the class. He likes football and befriend with Sugiyama, and both of them are like a leader of the classmates. He is smart and good at all sports therefore very popular among girls. His favorite food is ramen(noodle) and port cutlet.

Sugiyama 

He is good friends with Ono and like a boss of the classmates. He is strong and has sense of justice and very reliable. He often plays football with Ono after school. His favorite food is meat sauce spaghetti (OR spaghetti bolognaise) and fried chicken.

Maeda 

A girl easy to get angry. She acts big, and she cries and annoys everyone when she gets criticized. She is very harsh to people who tries to break the rules. She acts spoiled to and annoys her grandmother but actually likes her very much. Her favorite food is pickled plum and takoyaki (Octopus dumpling).

Fuyuta 

A girly girl who loves Ono very much. When she encounters troubles, she cries easily. Her favorite food is yogurt, cookies and ohagi which is rice cakes wrapped in sweet bean paste.

Nagayama 

A smart boy who has a lot of knowledge. He is very kind and answers very politely when he gets questions. He also takes care of his sister, Koharu very much. He wants to be a cartoonist in future. His favorite food is spaghetti and croquette.

Kayo 

She is a bit goofy and likes Sugiyama. Her favorite food is hamburger.

Sekiguchi 

A rudeness boy. He has a mischievous nature but also has gentle side. His favorite food is cup noodles and yakitori.

Kenta 

He likes football and is good at it. He practices football very hard to be a professional football player in future. His favorite food is ramen.

Takashi 

A quiet and gentle boy. Maruko rescued him once when he was bullied. He likes dog very much and has a puppy for a pet. His favorite food is spaghetti and fried rice.

Toku 

Son of a flower shop. He is gentle and has a sense of justice. He lied as he was responsible for the crime in order to cover his friend when soap was stolen in his class.

Hiraba 

He comes up with funny things but tends to lose his opportunities to present the ideas while he is thinking about it. His favorite food is curry flavored rice cracker.
