7 Terms Used By Police Forces In Active Raid

There are different kind of terms used in Active Raid anime, mostly related to fictional police force in Japan. Seven of them are listed down here. If you need to understand the anime better, you should read this.

Unit 8
It used to be called Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit, but when it was upgraded as a wide-area control department for crimes by Will Wears, a "Special Mobile Assault" was established, and it is commonly known as unit 8. Because it is the experimental department, the information of the members is kept secret from the public, and basically it is not revealed to their relatives as well.

Will Wears
A general term for powered suits that appear in the series. In Japan, it is used for reconstruction work in muddy areas, and it is easy to obtain and remodel for civilian use, but it is also used for crimes due to its high ability and versatility. Unit 8, the member of the "Active Project" (Armored Combined Tactical Intelligence Vanguard Element), which was established to deal with the increasing number of violent crimes worldwide, also use Will Wears.

Sublimation Mechanism
One of the functions installed in Unit 8 Will Wears. It is a powerful function equivalent to what is called "Special Move" or "Limiter Release". In the case of Unit 8, it can be used after approval is completed. When activated, almost the entire body turns jet black regardless of the color scheme of the Will Wears. (mainly the white background turns black).

Integrated Self-Defense Force
A small number of elite joint task forces installed with the equipment of the Ground Self-Defense Force, the Maritime Self-Defense Force, and the Air Self-Defense Force with the development of Will Wears in Japan. In addition, it introduce the prototype Will Wears "Senmai Kai" Which is depending on the situation, there are cases in which human life is disregarded in order to expedite important missions.

Private police
In the second season, the revision of the Police Law made it possible for licensed private companies and private sector to carry out police activities under special guidance. Sena, who had resigned from the police and became a civilian, returned to Unit 8 as the first private police in Tokyo after receiving a strong request from Rin Yamabuki and the approval of Governor Inagi.

Unit 9
In order to respond to the diversifying Will Wears crimes after the Logos Incident, Tokyo-based Unit 8 alone cannot cover the whole country, so the Fifth Special Public Security Division, Third Mobile Assault Ninth Unit has jurisdiction over the entire western Japan. Asami Hanasaki has been tasked Asami the leader. Unit 9 is also functioned as a backup for Unit 8.

Mobile Assault Command Vehicle
A railroad vehicle that Unit 8 members board when they are dispatched. The first car of the two-car train is equipped with the general room, and the second car is equipped with Will Wears mounting system and an injection catapult. When heading to the site, it enters railway line, connect to the rear of the commercial vehicle, and move to the site. In addition, it is also equipped with tires for driving on the road, it is also possible to fly by installing additional equipment.

Unit 9 In Active Raid

Unit 9 is one of the police force in Active Raid anime. The members of this team are: Kyoukai Sama  As a mechanic and operator of Unit 9, he handles decisions. In some cases, He also conducts on-site surveys. Like Kyoukai, they are dispatched from the association, but they do not seem to know each other's names. He is also in charge of narration for Unit 9 commercials. He also uses the pseudonym " Owashi Joe ". Asami Kazari A new member in Unit 8, she was assigned to monitor Unit 8 due to their bad reputation, and possibly to take steps in improving their activities.
