Royal Family of Kou Empire In Magi Series

The Kou Empire was originally a small country in the Far East that grew to the central plains into a powerful nation which intends to conquer the entire world. It is rules by the Royal Family who is considered as one of the strongest in the world as most of them possess at least one powerful Djinn. The members of family are:

Kouen Ren 

Kouen Ren is the Kou Empire's former First Imperial Prince. He was the General Commander of the Kou Empire's Western Subjugation Army and also the Governor of Balbadd when Balbadd was controlled by the Kou Empire. When the Kou Empire's Civil War ended, he was supposedly beheaded as the leader of the rebel army but he survived. Kouen is now living in Samon Island, which is owned by the Kou Empire, along with his brothers.

Abilities 

Kouen is the strongest general of the Kou Empire. He captured three Dungeons.

Advanced Intelligence
Kouen is intelligent enough to know how to read and speak the Torran Language.

Physical Abilities
Kouen mastered swordsmanship when he was only nine years old and seems to be a very skilled swordsman.

Metal Vessels
Kouen mastered all of his three Djinns and is able to utilise the Djinn Equip for Agares and Astaroth. Kouen’s Djinn Equips are excellent in offensive and restoration abilities. Kouen's Metal Vessels are a sword, a hilt ornament on his sword and a spaulder. The known members of Kouen's Household are Shou En, Seishuu Ri, Kin Gaku and Kokuton Shuu.

Agares 

Agares is the Gravity Djinn that Kouen obtained when he conquered the 2nd Dungeon. Agares is the Djinn of Fortitude and Creation. This Djinn dwells in the spaulder on Kouen's right arm. Kouen can manipulate Earth with this Djinn.
Djinn Equip: In this equip, Kouen's hair resembles a lion and appears childlike. He has a destructive power, as he fired a beam of light from his hands that was powerful enough to pierce through to the other side of the earth’s surface and stimulate a lava flow.

Astaroth 

Astaroth is the Fire Djinn that Kouen obtained when he conquered the 29th Dungeon. Astaroth is the Djinn of Terror and Meditation. He dwells in Kouen's sword. This Djinn is the one Kouen uses most often.
Djinn Weapon Equip: When his weapon is equipped whatever it touches burns and blows away. It can also create a massive blast of fire by concentrating the mass of fire at the tip of his sword.
Djinn Equip:In this equip, Kouen's hair becomes longer and resembling snakes. A snake-like armour covers the surface of his body. When he equipped this form, he summons a white snake-like dragon similar with his Extreme Magic around his body.

• Astor Inqerad: This Extreme Magic creates a dragon made out of white flames that when summoned incinerates everything within its path. The flames of Astaroth's Extreme Magic last for all of eternity unless Kouen orders them to disappear.

Phenex
Phenex is the Healing Djinn that Kouen obtained when he conquered the 37th Dungeon. This Djinn dwells in the hilt ornament on Kouen's sword. Phenex has the ability to heal by summoning a pink-coloured phoenix from her Metal Vessel. Phenex is also able to transfer limbs and organs from one person to another.

• The Ring of Admonition: Using Phenex's power Kouen puts inside the targets body an Egg that is warmed by targets bloodlust. The egg cracks create magic ring around his head and isolate bloodlust from his body.

Koumei Ren 

Koumei Ren is the Kou Empire's former Second Imperial Prince. He was a General of the Kou Empire's Western Subjugation Army along with his brothers, Kouen and Kouha. After the Kou Empire's Civil War, he was sentenced to be exiled. He is now currently living in Samon Island, which is owned by the Kou Empire, along with his brothers.

Abilities 

Metal Vessel
Dantalion is the Space-Time Djinn that Koumei obtained when he conquered the 71st Dungeon. His Metal Vessel is a fan with a golden handle and black feathers. Koumei can't do anything without his Metal Vessel.
Djinn Equip: In his Djinn Equip form, Koumei has horns on each side of his head. The djinn equip wraps Koumei’s body with hard armour and a mantle coiled around his back with constellations that imitates the night sky drawn on it. Anything that befalls the boundaries created by the light from his hands can be teleported to other places.

• Dante Al-Thais: Koumei draws the constellation acted acts as a magic circle that can teleport objects or persons through it to another constellation. He is also able to transfer the potential damages that a certain area may receive away from the place and can even teleport a great amount of material like a mountain.

Kouha Ren 

Kouha Ren is the Kou Empire's former Third Imperial Prince. He was a General of the Kou Empire's Western Subjugation Army along with his brothers, Kouen and Koumei. After the Kou Empire's civil war, he was sentenced to be exiled He is now currently living in Samon Island, which is owned by the Kou Empire, with his brothers.

Abilities 

Physical Abilities
He has been shown to be a skilled swordsman using his metal vessel.

Metal Vessel
Leraje is the Strength Djinn that Kouha received after he captured the 14th Dungeon. Kouha's Metal Vessel is a big sword he carries with him. His Metal Vessel seems to able to gain power from other Strength Magic users to recover its Magoi and strength.
Nyoi Rentou: Nyoi Rentou seems to be able to cut anything. In addition, Nyoi Rentou can change its length, becoming very heavy and difficult for its owner to use.

Leraje

Djinn Weapon Equip: When equipped the sword becomes a scythe on one side and a hammer on the other. The Scythe side can be used to create swift slashes that are capable of traveling to certain distances. The Hammer side can be used to apply great pressure to a certain region. It still retains its ability to change size at will.
Djinn Equip: In this form, Kouha's hair grows longer and its color changes to light purple. He has pink spikes coming out of his back that take the shape of wings. His arms and legs are both become clad in the same spikes which take the shape of armor.

• Lelazzo Madraga: When in Djinn Equip, Nyoi Rentou changes its shape and becomes a scythe, and the opposite side of its blade is flat, resembling a hammer. Kouha hits with this side with an enormous power, that disintegrates everything its blast touches.

Hakuei Ren 

Hakuei Ren is the former Kou Empire's first Imperial Princess. She is also a former General of the Northern Station Corps of the Kou Empire's Western Subjugation Army. The soul of the Alma Torran magician Arba was dwelling in her for quite some time after leaving the body of her mother, Gyokuen Ren, and now serves as Sindria Trading Company Top Consultant.

Abilities 

Physical Abilities
Hakuei seems to have been trained in swordplay. She also appears to be very skilled at horseback riding.

Metal Vessel
Paimon is the Wind Djinn that Hakuei obtained when she conquered the 9th Dungeon. She is the Djinn of Maniacal Love and Chaos. Hakuei's Djinn Metal Vessel is a flabellum with a metal handle, and feather like appendages. Paimon is a fecundity type of Djinn, meaning she is capable of reproducing, which may be the reason Hakuei's Household consists of Seisyun Ri, Dorji, Bator, Boyan, and more than 100 other members of the Kouga Clan.

Paimon 

Djinn Weapon Equip: When Hakuei equips her Djinn Weapon, she gains her flabellum atop a long rod reminiscent of a Chinese spear.

• Magul Al-Hazard: When Hakuei uses this attack, she creates a huge tornado with her in the middle. The tornado starts to spiral and destroys everything in its path.

Djinn Equip: When Hakuei equips with Paimon, she gains gold, pink and white armor and white dress of feathers. Her Djinn allows her to generate and manipulate small and large windstorms at will to protect her and attack her enemy. The tornado can be shaped into Paimon.

• Pa'ir Al-Hazard: When using this Extreme Magic, Hakuei summons an tremendous tornado that can ensnare an opponent in its center and shatters the opponent with it's extreme wind power.

Hakuryuu Ren 

Hakuryuu Ren is one of the main characters of Magi, and the fourth prince of the Kou Empire. Hakuryuu is also a Dungeon Capturer, capturing two dungeons, Zagan and Belial. After his vengeance against his "mother", Gyokuen Ren, Hakuryuu became the fourth emperor of the Kou Empire.

Abilities 

Physical Abilities
Hakuryuu is physically strong and well-trained in many weapons mainly spearmanship and swordsmanship. Besides his weapon skills, it is alai shown he has increased durability.

Advanced Intelligence
Hakuryuu knows difficult languages like Torran Language and possesses high knowledge concerning various matters.

Magoi Manipulation
He was taught the ability to entrust his Ki into his spear and has also learned how to combine his Magoi Manipulation with Zagan's powers, including when using Djinn Equip.

Wooden Prosthesis
Hakuryuu wooden arm is the arm that he replaced using the power of Zagan after losing his left arm. He uses the artificial arm to fight by turning it into vines and trees. He uses it like a tentacle whip projectile. He is also able to create a small wood dragon out of the arm.

Metal Vessels
Hakuryuu is the master of 2 Djinn: Zagan and Belial.

Zagan 

Zagan is the Life Djinn that Hakuryuu obtained when he conquered the 61st Dungeon. Zagan is the Djinn of Loyalty and Purity. Hakuryuu uses his Djinn to control earth and life. It awakens the power of plants from anything the Metal Vessel touches. Hakuryuu's Metal Vessel is his guandao, which he carries around constantly. Hakuryuu's Household is made up of creatures that he made into his servants with Zagan’s power. Hakuryuu's Household are the Left and Right Generals of the Kou Empire, Kokuhyou Shuu and Seiryuu Ri. Kokuhyou Shuu uses Zagan's powers and Seiryuu Ri uses Belial's powers.
Djinn Weapon Equip: After compressing Zagan's powers around his spear, he summons a two-sided spear with a pointed tip on each.

• Combination Move: Zagan can only manipulate the plants that are in contact with his Metal Vessel, but by sending Zagan’s Magic inside of the plant seeds, he is able to manipulate the plant as long as the Magoi he sent inside of the seed doesn't run out.
• Netsumegusa: It is a kind of grass that has ridiculously long roots. Hakuryuu uses his Djinn, Zagan, to bring out the limit of its special characteristics.
• Brain Plant: After brainwashing a person with Belial, Hakuryuu can implant inside the targets brain a special plant circuits to stimulate his hatred and excitement.
• Zaug Mobarezo: This attack originates from his artificial arm, it releases several wooden projectile dragons able to bite an opponent.
• Zaug Al-Adhra: He can also fire his monsters off by holding his spear like a bow and arrow, firing off multiple monsters at once.

Djinn Equip: Hakuryuu is able to perform a half body Djinn Equip complete with his weapon. His abilities are not limited only to controlling plants with his metal vessel but also other creatures like the microscopic fungus that exists in the atmosphere, turning them into his servants. These monsters come out every time he swings his weapon. These monsters are very acidic.
Full Body Djinn Equip: After compressing Zagan's powers around his guan dao, he summons a two-sided spear with a pointed tip on each. He has shown impressive skill at handling this spear and even reinforcing it with Magoi to attack and makes it capable of cutting through anything, as long as he has Magoi.

Belial 

Belial is the Life Djinn that Hakuryuu obtained from conquering the 68th Dungeon. Belial is the Djinn of Truth and Conviction. It seems to have the power to control other people's minds. Belial also has the ability to manipulate all 5 senses. Hakuryuu's Metal Vessel for Belial is his left shoulder armor pad.
Djinn Equip: In Belial's Djinn Equip, Hakuryuu's hair changes including the color and length. Unlike most djinn equips he has two eyes on the forehead. Also he gets black wings and two additional arm's. In this form Hakuryuu is surrounded by a skeleton-like Dragon that he can use to grab the opponent.

• Belior Zakera: Belial's basic power to create illusions and rewrite memories. By using this magic Hakuryuu can manipulate the minds of his enemies and have them do his bidding.
• Belior Goldoreza: By using Belial's weapon equip Hakuryuu can sever the senses of his opponents. The scythe can't physically hurt people, but all senses in part of the body that is cut by the blade are send to another space. According to Hakuryuu those wounds are impossible to heal.
• Belior Zauto: When this Extreme Magic is summoned, a huge decaying dragon appears and let's loose a roar. It's a roar that devours and destroys all the 5 senses of any living things caught inside of its range.

Kougyoku Ren 

Kougyoku Ren is the Kou Empire's fifth Empress and formerly the eighth Imperial Princess. She was also a general of the Kou Empire's Western Subjugation Army. Kougyoku is the owner of the Djinn Vinea. Due to Sinbad periodically taking control of her mind, she had allied herself with Sindria.

Abilities 

According to Sinbad, Kougyoku's power is above average. He thinks of it as a "terrifying power". 

Physical Abilities
Kougyoku has shown some skills in swordplay. It is also her special skill.

Metal Vessel 

Vinea is the Djinn of Sorrow and Isolation and its also a water Djinn. She uses her Djinn to summon and control water. When she first summoned it, it appeared as a water snake while surrounding her with a "Water Membrane". Kougyoku's Djinn Metal Vessel is a hair pin. The only member of Kougyoku's Household is Koubun Ka. He uses Vinea's water to heal with his Household Vessel.
Djinn Weapon Equip: Kougyoku is also very proficient in using her Djinn Weapon Equip. She is easily able to call forth her Djinn's power. She usually fights by creating a water tornado around her weapon while spinning. This attack is very powerful.

• Vainel Arros: Kougyoku creates a big vortex of water, a spear, around her Metal Vessel and aims an opponent directly.
• Vainel Al-Salos: When she has collected enough spears, she sends them raining down onto her opponents

Djinn Equip: A fish-like skin covers the surface of her body. She also wears part of a white robe that serves as a skirt. Her hair turns from pink to blue and her metal vessel turns into a long blue sword. Her Djinn's speciality fully manifests at sea, where water source is bountiful. Also, her sword is specialised for thrusting attacks, which pierces through all that stand in her way.

• Vainel Ganezza: While she is reciting the spell Kougyoku gathers a large amount of water. When she unleashes it, it takes the form of a giant tsunami. She can freely manipulate the shape of tsunami.
