Three Strongest Groups In Samurai X

1. Juppongatana 

The Juppongatana (Ten Swords) is a special attack force of elite warriors assembled and commanded by Shishio Makoto for the Purpose of Leading his revolutionary army against the Meiji goverment.

The Juppongatana have 12 members:
  • ‌Shishio Makoto, leader and founder of the Juppongatana.
  • ‌Seta Sojiro, also known as 'Soujiro, The Tenken'. Wields a speed known as Shukuchi and prodigal kenjutsu.
  • ‌Kariwa Henya, also known as 'Henya, The Flighted'. Uses a flying style in battle and is equipped with blades and gunpowder bombs.
  • ‌Honjo Kamatari, also known as 'Kamatari, The Large Scythe'.
  • ‌Komagata Yumi, Shishios's closest follower.
  • ‌Yukyuzan Anji, also known as 'Anji, The Destroying Bright King'. A fallen monk who uses a destructive technique known as the Mastery of the Two Layers.
  • ‌Sadojima Hoji, also known as 'Houji, The One Hundred Fold Knowledged'. Skilled in marksmanship with a rifle. 
  • ‌Sawagejo Cho, also known as 'Cho, The Sword Hunter'. Wields various extremely deadly blades and swords.
  • ‌Uonuma Usui, also known as 'Usui, The Blind Swordsman'. A blind killer claimed to have gained an incredible extrasensory ability known as the Heart's Eye. 
  • ‌Iwanbo, also known as 'Iwanbo, The Round Demon'. A fat, unpredictable and chaotic madman wielding finger mounted blades.
  • ‌Saizuchi of the Destruction Army, also known as 'The Destroying Yin'. A small, manipulative elderly man whose edge lies in his persuasion and speech.
  • ‌Fuji of the Destruction Army, also known as 'The Destroying Yang'. A fearsome giant, often considered more monster than human

2. Oniwabanshu 

The Oniwabanshu (Garden-keepers) are an elite cadre of onmitsu who were established at Edo Castle. Oniwabanshu has tasked with covertly gathering information as well as providing security for the castle itself.


The members are:

  • ‌Shinomori Aoshi, The prodigious leader of the Oniwaban. A master kenpoist and even stronger swordsman that excels in offense and defense.
  • ‌Makimachi Misao, a fairly skilled kenpoist and the adopted granddaughter of Okina.
  • ‌Kashiwazaki Nenji, Usually known as Okina, known to be the only member who could fight the former leader of the group evenly.
  • ‌Han'nya, he wears a mask and uses steel claws to assist him in hand-to-hand combat, using optical illusions to confuse his opponents.
  • ‌Shikijo, serves as the group's strong man. Said to be Aoshi's second in command.
  • ‌Hyottoko, A human flamethrower, his teeth are replaced with flint in order to ignite a spray of oil from a bag in his stomach.
  • ‌Beshimi, he is a specialist in poison darts.
  • ‌Kurojo, serves as Misao's caretaker.
  • ‌Shirojo, serves as Misao's caretaker.
  • ‌Masukame, wields two discs that she uses as a weapon or a shield.
  • ‌Omine, wields a boomerang-type shuriken.


3. Six Comrades 
The Six Comrades were a band of warriors led and funded by Yukishiro Enishi. The members are:

  • ‌Inui Banjin, A hand-to-hand brawler that is skilled in Jutsushiki Muteki-Ryu.
  • ‌Otowa Hyoko, Skilled in assassination techniques. Uses tools called 13 anki - "Shadow Instruments".
  • ‌Gein, An elderly puppetmaster.
  • ‌Kujiranami Hyogo, Former samurai who uses a cannon.
  • ‌Yatsume Mumyoi, Nameless assassin who fights with his clawed elongated left arm. 
  • ‌Yukishiro Enishi, The progenitor and de facto leader of the group.

I enjoy watching the anime called Crush Gear Turbo. There is a lot of fun visualize the Gear in your mind and play with it. These are the list of Characters in Hanagumi Team that appears in Sakura Wars anime: Ichiro Ogami  He was chosen to head the Flower Division when he proved himself capable during a test of a Koubu prototype.
