5 Things Worth Remembered From Sakura Wars

I accidentally watched this anime on TV many years ago. Skeptic at first while no other available choice at that time, I followed the series which is lasted only in 25 chapters. It turned out that I enjoy the story and a few things presented there. I made a list of those below:
  • The opening song is catchy and the music reminds me of a japanese theatrical show. The fact is that the story tells about this show in some point.
  • Most of characters in the series consist of a group of young women. This group is known as the Imperial Assault Force, based in a theater and working undercover as the Imperial Theater Revue. The group to which the main characters belong is the Flower Division (Hanagumi), the main combat troop which piqued my interest after witnessing their battles. 
  • The steam-based mecha called Koubu is considered as the best concept in this anime. Koubu is activated by taking pilot inside of it and operate the steam machine. The pilots consist of women who form the main combat units because of their stronger spiritual power than most of the men. 
  • The anime comes to my liking after seeing the way how they work together as a team. Initially, the teamwork was not working well till the arrival of the new captain. He is the only male in Hanagumi team who unites the differences of all those young woman.
  • The setting of the series combines real locations with fantastical events and steampunk-based technology. The central conflict is between demonic forces created by the ingrained darkness in human hearts. It is set in Taisho period running from 1923 to 1940.

The Rules of the Death Note are the official rules that govern how the Death Notes work. Ryuk writes five of the rules down into his second Death Note before dropping it into the human world so that whichever human picks it up will know the basics of how to use it. Additional rules are revealed throughout the series. The following is a list of all the original rules that are provided in between the manga chapters. Chimera Ants are extremely dangerous insects in which the Hunter Association classified this colony as a B level threat. Chimera Ant is organized into a military-like chain of command. At the top of the hierarchy is the Queen, who hunts on her own until she produces a sufficient amount of soldiers to procure food and a King at regular intervals. The Five Threats are five different specimens that were obtained from the Dark Continent, during five different voyages in the past. At the end of each of the five successful voyages, humanity brought back Five Threats: the botanical weapon Brion, the gaseous lifeform Ai, the two-tailed snake Hellbell, the human-keeping beast Pap, and the immortality sickness Zobae Disease. Ai Ai, a Gaseous Lifeform, is a mysterious being and one of the Five Threats that humanity met in the Dark Continent. It lives South-southwest of Lake Mobius, but some of its victims have also been found in the known world.
