7 Known Species In Record Of Ragnarok

Record of Ragnarok is actually an anime with long title, known as Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok. In this anime, we can see many species introduced whether as participant or supporters in Valhalla. There are 7 known species so far as listed below:

Human
Humans are native to Midgard and can be usually be found there. However, since the souls of the dead are brought to Valhalla by the Valkyries, they can also be found within Heaven. Humans can also be send to Hell if they break the laws of the Gods. As beings created in the image of the Gods, Humans have a very similar appearance to their creators.

Gods
Gods are the creators of Humanity and decide the fate of the world. Most Gods can be found within Heaven, with a few notable exceptions, such as Hades, who rules over and resides in Helheim as its king. Many Gods have a very humanoid appearance, being very similar to that of a Human. However, there are many other Gods that either have in-human traits such as multiple eyes or horns, to being outright beastfolk such as snakes or birds.

Demigods
Demigods are half-God and half-Human deities. The difference between a demigod and a full God is very unclear. A demigod is not a Human who became a God. Demigods are also not necessarily weaker than full Gods. The common characteristic among all demigods and what seems to separate them from the Gods is their deep connection with Humanity.

Demons
Demons are the creatures or beings that inhabit the netherworld. Similar to the gods, demons have a very humanoid appearance, being very similar to that of a human. Some also have been shown to possess non human traits, such as horns or wings. While not confirm to be immortal like the gods, demons are still very powerful, to the point that they can be very dangerous in case they get out of control.

Giants
Giants, also known as Jotnar, are one of the existing species in the world of Shuumatsu no Valkyrie. They are one of the natural enemies of the Gods. They have a very humanoid appearance, being very similar to that of a human. However they are a lot bigger, being taller than the titans and any other being seen so far. They also possess abnormal and inhuman facial features, such as pointed ears, white pupils and pitch black eyes.

Titans
Titans were the rulers of the universe before the Twelve Gods of Olympus dethroned them with the lead of Zeus. Titans have a very humanoid appearance, being very similar to that of a Human. However, they are a lot bigger, being taller than any God and Demon.

Animals
Animals are one of the existing species in the world of Shuumatsu no Valkyrie. They have interesting traits such as capable of speaking shown by a pair of ravens that accompany Odin.
